Maybe Hip: The first Chicago internet television station. A place where original video entertainment centers on all things that may – or may not – be hip. Maybe Hip’s format is conversational, with the idea that an engaging conversation between regular people can be as entertaining and insightful as other forms of media. As internet video continues to climb as one of the most preferred mediums for news and entertainment, Maybe Hip is reaching audiences in a new way: through an interactive entertainment platform, positioned around conversational-based video content.
Unlike traditional television, where information only moves in one direction, Maybe Hip is an open community where you can tell us what you like, what you don’t like, what you would like to see changed, and what new shows you want to see. We want to hear from you! Communicate with us through the Maybe Hip blog, Twitter, email, YouTube, Facebook… however you like… and we will tailor our shows to the things you want to see.
The company was founded in 2009 by Patrick Lothian, Robby Silver, and Lexi Scherr to bring to the growing internet video industry a channel that provides original content focusing on our generation’s interests. Unlike most traditional TV, much of Maybe Hip is conversationally driven, where regular people have real conversations about today’s hip issues. Our shows and shorts, professionally produced in HD video, are available to watch not only on your computer, but anywhere you go with your mobile device.
Thanks for checking out the site. We hope you enjoy what you see. And if you don’t, let us know, and we’ll make it better!
